There is a lot of buzz and curiosity around Calgary’s new lakeside community, and everything that is going into developing a new way of living. Here are a few answers as to why it all comes together beautifully at Arbour Lake West.

How do I get to Arbour Lake West?

Getting to Arbour Lake West is easy.

When commuting by vehicle, there are two major roadways you can take. You can travel west on Crowchild Trail and take the exit to Nose Hill Drive North or travel south on Stoney Trail, take the Crowchild Trail East exit and turn north on Nose Hill Drive. Once you arrive at Nose Hill Drive taking either route, turn left on Crowfoot Way northwest and follow it straight up through to Arbour Lake Road northwest.

If you plan to travel by C-Train, take the Red Line north to Crowfoot Train station, head northwest on Crowfoot Circle, through the roundabout and then turn left on Crowfoot Way northwest. Follow that road straight up through to Arbour Lake Road northwest until you arrive at Arbour Lake West, which you will see waiting for you on your right hand side.

What home types are available?

Are there any natural wetlands in the community?

Yes.

Hopewell is preserving a sustainable 1.15 acre wetland in the northwest corner of the development. It can be enjoyed by the residents of Arbour Lake via its public park and pathway that will be built adjacent to the wetland preserve.

How many homes will be built in Arbour Lake West?

An estimated 138 single family Front-Garage homes are planned to be built, with construction having started in late 2020.

Are there parks or playgrounds?

Yes.

Yes, there is a brand new playground ready to enjoy. There are also several walking paths throughout Arbour Lake West that seamlessly connect to the greater Arbour Lake community.

Are there nearby schools?

Yes.

Arbour Lake West has four schools in the area ranging from K to Grade 12, so your child will get a great education closeby to your new home.

Surrounding schools include: St.Ambrose Catholic school (K-Grade 9), Citadel Park Public Elementary School (K-Grade 4), Arbour Lake Jr.High Public School (Grades 5-9) and Robert Thirsk Public High School (Grades 10-12).

Arbour Lake West is also the perfect place for post-secondary students to call home and take a break from the classroom. Get to the University of Calgary, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) or Alberta College of Art & Design (ACAD) via C-Train or main roadways in approximately 20 minutes or less.

Are there nearby grocery stores, banks and professional services?

Yes, and plenty to choose from.

What is the proximity of Arbour Lake West from other Calgary amenities?

The true Urban Adventure is achieved through living in Arbour Lake West. You can hop on the Crowfoot C-Train and reach the heart of downtown Calgary in less than 20 minutes, or drive out to the Canadian Rocky Mountains in no more than 30 minutes. Plus, there is more outdoor fun to be had at Nose Hill Park and WinSport, both a 20 minute drive or less from home.

What’s the Arbour Lake Residents Association and what are the fees associated to it?

The Arbour Lake Residents association oversees the preservation of Arbour Lake while hosting year-round events and programs for the community to enjoy. Resident Association fees are approximately $250+GST per year for residents in Arbour Lake West who own a Front-Garage home. Fees are collected annually from residents of the community on January 1. How do you register for an ALRA membership and how do you contact them if you have questions?
